Automotive Floor Manager/Closer. The Automotive Floor
Manager/Closer is responsible for consistently achieving and
exceeding vehicle sales quotas by providing expert leadership and
management of the sales team. This role involves hiring, training,
and monitoring team performance, resolving customer concerns, and
actively participating in closing sales when necessary. The ideal
candidate will have some post-secondary education (such as a
degree, coursework, or certification), at least two years of
experience in a high-volume dealership environment, and prior
supervisory or management experience. A strong business acumen,
sales aptitude, and a commitment to full accountability for sales
targets are essential. Exceptional communication and interpersonal
skills, along with strong leadership and motivational abilities,
are required to drive the team’s success. Responsibilities Recruit,
train, and evaluate the performance of sales team members. Ensure
all sales targets are consistently met or surpassed. Manage,
mentor, and guide a team of Sales Professionals. Motivate Sales
Professionals daily to maintain high morale and enthusiasm.
Maintain an effective owner follow-up system that promotes repeat
and referral business and enhances customer satisfaction.
Continuously update knowledge on product changes, features,
accessories, inventory, and their benefits to customers. Prioritize
customer satisfaction, understanding that business growth depends
on delivering exceptional service. Set personal and team goals
aligned with dealership productivity standards and develop
strategies to achieve them. Master techniques to overcome
objections, confidently ask for the sale, negotiate pricing,
complete sales or purchase agreements, and effectively present
warranty, service, and financing options. Attend sales meetings and
participate in training sessions as required. Adhere strictly to
all company policies and procedures. Exemplify the company’s values
in all interactions with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements At least 2 years of
proven experience as an Assistant Sales Manager or Closer in
automotive sales (only candidates with automotive sales experience
will be considered). Demonstrated track record of meeting or
exceeding sales targets, supported by verifiable proof. Outstanding
communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, with
the ability to remain composed under pressure. Strong leadership
and motivational capabilities. Excellent organizational skills with
the ability to multitask and manage time effectively amid shifting
deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Outgoing personality with a
genuine willingness to engage with the public daily. Highly
professional, reliable, and dependable. Proficient computer and
internet skills. Confidence in your ability to succeed and thrive
in this role. A motivated individual who thrives in a commission-
and performance-driven environment. Proven ability to close sales
confidently by asking for the sale and following through. Strong
team leadership skills with the ability to train, manage, and build
a cohesive and successful sales team. Professional appearance and a
strong work ethic. Self-starter with high levels of motivation and
initiative. Ability to excel in a process-driven environment.
