Consumer Lending serves customers across the country through our distribution network of more than 5,300 retail banking branches and Home Lending offices, as well as online and digital channels.Wells Fargo is looking to hire a Mortgage Sales Specialist 2 in our National Contact Center located in Des Moines, IA. --Our Inbound Mortgage Customer Service Specialists 2 will focus on delivering an exceptional experience for our customers through financial advice and guidance, coupled with providing the products and services, that will help them realize their financial hopes and dreams through home ownership. --We---ve built our team of top professionals by rewarding their accomplishments and ensuring they have what's needed to succeed.Responsible for assessing customer needs through financial consultation for more complex lending customers. Determines the proper loan program, completes the loan application and coordinates with underwriting to collect the necessary documents to begin the loan process. Obtains and analyzes credit score and collateral values to determine the appropriate loan structuring. Handles all calls with the intent of providing customer satisfaction and retention. Identifies opportunities and provides customer service with the objective of offering Wells Fargo products and services based on the customer s needs; opening accounts and provisioning products on specific product family and recognizing and uncovering other Wells Fargo products with the opportunity to introduce those outside of scope to other Wells Fargo entities. Works on special projects as assigned.--This SAFE position has customer contact and job duties which may include the offering/negotiating of terms and/or taking an application for a dwelling secured transaction. As such, this position requires compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations. Ongoing employment is contingent upon meeting all such requirements, including acceptable background investigation results. Individuals in a SAFE position also must meet the Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z (LO) outlined in the job expectations below.Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience assessing and meeting the needs of customers and/or solving customer problems demonstrated through work or military experienceDesired Qualifications
    • Customer service focus with experience actively listening, eliciting information, comprehending customer issues/needs, and recommending solutions
    • Strong problem solving skills
    • Strong background recommending products and services based on customer need
    • Financial services experience
    • Solid knowledge and understanding of financial products and services
    • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
    • Ability to troubleshoot common computer problems
    • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information
    • Strong organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsJob Expectations

A current credit report will be used to assess your financial responsibility and credit fitness, however, a credit score is not included as part of the evaluation.
