Job Summary
The Student Services Analyst Route to Relief navigators operate as
the key point of entry for the Maricopa Community Colleges,
supporting students in successfully accessing education and
training services within the colleges for applicable grant
programs. A Student Services Analyst is a student mentor and coach,
who functions primarily to assist students in linking academic,
personal and professional goals to ensure persistence to
graduation. The Student Services Analyst will act as a liaison to
services and resources on the campuses and is vital to developing
the key data points needed to ensure program completion. The
opportunities assist with the development, coordination, and
implementation of activities to improve student success, and
services and activities to improve retention, course completion,
graduation, and/or transfer rates.
These positions are grant-funded with an estimated end date of
December 30, 2024.
Essential Functions
35% - Serves as a program and participant liaison providing program
and policy advisement and related information; manage incoming
phone calls and email inquiries, schedule and conduct eligibility
assessment appointments. Provide Career Navigation Services: career
assessment and consultation, participant resume review and
interview preparation
25% - Provide student support during the duration of courses to
remove any barriers, ensuring successfulcompletion of all program
requirements through certification or degree attainment
20% - Confirm student documents and forms are completed in
accordance with grant requirements; provide tracking and maintain
data for monthly reports
10% - Work with the Enrollment Advisor(s) to monitor admissions and
enrollment
10% - Work with Employment Specialist(s) to assist participants
with obtaining training related employment and document outcomes
where applicable
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in
education, sociology, business administration or directly related
field and two (2) years of progressively responsible student
services experience coordinating, administering, planning, or
evaluating programs.
OR
Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and
four (4) years of progressively responsible student services
experience coordinating, administering, planning, or evaluating
programs.
OR
High School Diploma or GED and six (6) years of progressively
responsible student services experience coordinating,
administering, planning, or evaluating programs.
Desired Qualifications
A. 2 years experience providing customer service utilizing
communication and interpersonal skills
B. 1 year experience advising and providing information in an
assigned client or student services role
C. 1 year experience utilizing a computer and relevant software
applications; operate proprietary CRM or student management
software, Excel, and Word to document calls and manage participant
databases
D. 1 year experience collaborating in a team environment
Special Working Conditions
ADA AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing,
walking, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive
motions.
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or
up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of
force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move
objects including the human body.
Working Conditions: Work is routinely performed in an indoor,
office environment.
