L3Harris' Communication Systems segment is currently seeking a Electrical Computer Science Engineer to join our team. This position will be based at our Tempe, AZ facility.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacture of electrical equipment with an emphasis on both benchtop development of new products and support of existing manufacturing processes when necessary.
• Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs and applying knowledge of electricity and materials.
• Support the entire life cycle of a New Product Development effort from analysis of customer requirements through validation and qualification of the electrical system as part of Design and Development Team.
• Present level of effort estimates for electrical/system development tasks and track progress in coordination with multi-functional team.
• Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for building and assembling electrical components and by soliciting observations from operators.
• Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; to include component/euiqpment viability review for not only technical requirements but manufacturing readiness as well.
• Ability to present to both a technical team and program management team Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experienc Preferred Qualifications:
    • Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience
    • Electrical Design, Hardware Design, Test, and Debug
    • Analog and Digital Circuits, PCB design
    • CAD/Schematic capture tool (Mentor Graphics and Altium preferred)
    • Working knowledge of embed firmware (C, C++)
    • Digital logic, Digital/Analog circuit design
    • PCB design
    • Proficient at soldering surface mount packages as small as 0201
    • Working knowledge of LabVIEW
    • United States citizenship required
