This position is responsible for Honeywell Aerospace's US
Government Supply Chain Data and Analytics research and reporting.
- This is a hands-on position that requires knowledge of large data
analysis processes, SQL, SAP, database query techniques, data
mining, producing data visualizations and report generating. -
The position will focus on improving all aspects of government
procurement data analysis and reporting by leveraging big data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capacity to communicate complex concepts in easy-to-understand
terminology.
- Oversee data standards, ensuring we collect and report on key
data fields in a consistent manner.
- Create and deploy new scorecards in Tableau to support key
business initiatives.
- Oversee ad-hoc reporting for the Government Procurement
organization.
- Create and deploy new reports supporting Government
Procurement.
- Drive Supply Chain analytics training across Government
Procurement.
- Collaborate with end users, IT developers and leaders to define
scope, requirements, and output for complex automation projects;
act as project lead to track progress and design reports measuring
results.
- Develop solutions to business needs, identify and implement
process improvement, identify risks, issues and dependencies,
partner cross functionally, ad hoc reporting
Key Areas of Knowledge:
- Demonstrate a high degree of originality and creativity when
developing solutions to improve existing business processes within
supply chain utilizing methods such as statistical analysis,
multi-variant testing strategies and concepts, regression modeling
and forecasting, and time series analysis.
- Intermediate skills using Excel, SAP, and other Data Analysis
software/reporting tools and working knowledge of VBA and
SQL.
- Work independently to manage multiple projects at once while
ensuring deadlines are met and data output is accurate and
appropriate for the requirement. Must also be able to deal with
ambiguity and make independent decisions about what data and
approach is best for the task at hand.
- Identify areas of opportunity and drive results partnering with
cross functional partners.
- Understanding of data mining techniques and ability to work
with large datasets.
-YOU MUST HAVE
- 2+ years' experience in data extraction, transformation and
load, data modeling, and reporting/analytics environments
- Experience producing analytics data visualizations, preferably
using Tableau
- Experience using SQL and working with large datasets
- Bachelor's Degree
- US Citizen
WE VALUE
- Multiple database experience (i.e.: Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL,
Mongo, Hana, Snowflake)
- Demonstrated knowledge of querying languages such as SQL, VBA,
Python, R, or others
- User experience mindset, including the production of
visualizations and infographics to distil complex
information
- Experience producing analytics data visualizations, preferably
using Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent
- Highly resourceful and results-oriented with a strong bias for
action and keen sense of urgency.
- Ability to think strategically and to scope tasks and influence
goal achievement.
- Works effectively both independently and as a member of a cross
functional team.
- Demonstrate ability to communicate and build relationships with
employees at all levels.
- Strong follow-through skills and acute attention to
detail.
- Communicates complex analytical data clearly and persuasively
via email and verbally. - Proficient in PowerPoint and comfortable
building and delivering presentations.
