Operations Technician II is responsible for operations of
individual sites with SD-WAN and WAN technologies such as
broadband, LTE, TDM, or any mixture of mediums. Routinely monitor
network performance and troubleshoot problems as they arise,
including addressing any applications and security concerns along
with support of internal and external driven MACD and
projects.Possible Shifts (but may vary):7am-3pm EST (Days)3pm-11pm
EST (Swings)10am-7pm M-F or Fri-Mon (weekends 4x10)The Main
Responsibilities
- WAN Technologies: MPLS, MetroE, Leased Lines, Broadband,
LTETunneling protocols such as SSL/TLS, IPSec, GRE, DMVPN,
DIAAuthentication methodologies, including 2FA, RADIUS, LDAP, ADIP
Routing: BGP, OSPF, Static, Network Address
TranslationVirtualization technologies: ESX, KVM, Xen,
MicrosoftNetwork Security capabilities: IPS/IDS, Zone Based
FirewallsWhat We Look For in a Candidate
- Associate degree or equivalent education and relevant
experience
- Minimum 5+ yrs related experience in specific area or
equivalent
- May require technical certification
- 2 or more years' experience in networking environment.
- Prior knowledge of SD-WAN services and equipment is
preferred.
- Network troubleshooting skills required.
- Knowledge of DHCP, DNS, NAT, VLANS and ARP required.
- Knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) is required.
- Knowledge of Physical and Data Link layer functionality
