**Job Description:**

**Parsons** **is currently providing project management services for the construction of two Justice Centers on the Navajo Nation in Arizona and New Mexico. The buildings house detention centers, courts and police administration facilities with related site improvements. The buildings also include food service areas, training and fitness areas, office space, rehabilitation program space, public lobby and visitation areas. Masterplan development of the sites may include future construction of related buildings. Opportunities exist for providing project management services on other projects located within the Navajo Nation.**

**POSITION OVERVIEW** **:**

**Must be an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation. Current duration of project is September 2021 - December 2025.**

**SPECIFIC RESPONSBILITIES:**

**Completes a wide variety of estimating and project budgeting activities (individual or as part of a team), including but not limited to, developing estimates in company database estimating software, utilizing estimating tools and equipment, writing estimate narratives, supporting estimate database updates with project historical data, leading estimate task teams, and evaluating and developing and amending the overall project budget and analyzing the construction contractor's budget. The Estimator will work as part of a team that confirms the project needs, budget, and schedule; establishes a project delivery method; and sets up a decision-making framework to ensure timely reviews and decisions. The Estimator at this level independently completes complicated assignments. He/she is viewed as a fully qualified professional with solid experience and technical expertise.**

**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:**

**Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field (or equivalent work experience) and typically 5+ years of related work experience involving typical estimating activities. Previous experience using estimating database supported software.**

**Ability to perform difficult estimating activities typical to the engineering and construction industry is required. In addition, excellent written and verbal communication skills, familiarity with company and project procedures and practices.**

**A familiarity with typical project controls software such as Primavera scheduling software, Estimate/Schedule Transfer tools, Contract Manager, and DMCS (Document and Materials Control System) is required.**

**Must have a clear understanding of, and ability to work with, construction contract commercial documents, engineering drawings and specifications, and be qualified to be an estimate team leader.**
