Our manufacturing plants are bicoastal locations resulting in distribution benefits related to shelf life, transit time and freight costs.DESCRIPTION: Job Purpose Manages the integrity of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods inventories within the Tempe plant and works to ensure all items required for production are on-site, organized, and ready for consumption by Operations. Also responsible for the day-to-day entry and data integrity of production batches and inventory adjustments as well as miscellaneous associated reporting. Previous experience working in a food/beverage or nutraceutical production/manufacturing environment preferred. 1st Shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM) - Must be available to work occasional weekends. 2nd Shift (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM) - Will train on 1st shift (6:00 AM - 3:00 PM) for approximately two months. Must be available to work occasional weekends. 3rd Shift (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM) - Will train on 1st shift (6:00 AM - 3:00 PM) for approximately two months. Must be available to work occasional weekends. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not limited to) Controls the consumption of items in the WMS system immediately as they are transferred from one area to another. Keeps track that correct ingredient is being taken to the production areas. Controls the staging and organization of the materials in the warehouse. This includes ensuring FIFO is followed, accurate counts, and correct Blends are being used. Controls Temperature and Time of product that is being thawed out. Maintains accurate inventory in Tempe warehouse. Communicate with Shift Manager at the start and end of each shift to assess the location of materials requisitioned for the shift's production and ensure physical and systematic availability. Coordinate with all department managers to ensure accountability of inventory. Confer regularly to assess the progress of production and accuracy of inventory movements. Examine operational documentation, inventory activity, and physical materials to ensure accuracy of information provided. Cycle count and correct inventory as required. Coordinate and manage the location of staged inventory. Assist in the physical movement to/from staging locations when needed to ensure the utmost efficiency of the blending and bottling lines. Assist with year-end audit and inventory counts in any/all Arizona-based locations. Assume the role of WMS Power User to perform inventory management within WMS. Learn the WMS and ERP systems sufficiently to perform production entries and inventory adjustments. Proactively support quality initiatives and documentation requirements as needed. Maintain confidentiality of information appropriately. Other duties as required and/or assigned. Organization Skills - Plans and organizes staging and inventory accordingly in order to control usage for production. Safety Awareness - Demonstrates and promotes awareness of any safety issue and promptly reports outages to the appropriate supervisor. Strategic Thinking - Develops strategies to achieve organizational goals; Understands organization's strengths & weaknesses and adapts to changing conditions. PM21SHIFT: Various ShiftsPOSITION REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or GED required. Experience: 1-2 years of work experience in inventory management and/or food manufacturing. Forklift certification required. Language/Communication: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business correspondence, analytical models, and reports. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and other related stakeholders. Reasoning: Ability to solve complex practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have above average knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Inventory software, Manufacturing software, and possess general email writing and online research skills.
