Job Description The Global Fund Banking Portfolio Management Analyst--I--is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of all client loan funding and payment requests, including reviewing requests for borrowings and approving disbursement of bank funds. The Analyst will work closely with loan operations to ensure timely processing, will be responsible for diagnosing and ensuring adequate resolution of any issues that arise in the funding process.--Responsibility for cross-referencing and ticking and tying compliance spreadsheet to advance requests to ensure compliance was received.--Analyst--will also be asked to complete ad-hoc projects, including managing a pipeline of deals and communicate with 3rd--parties.-- --
The role requires analytical capabilities and organizational skills. The role also provides an entry level opportunity where the candidate will have broad perspective across the division along with regular interaction across all the Fund Banking sales teams, Fund Banking operations, as well as multiple groups throughout SVB. Essential Functions:

• Analyst will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of all client loan funding and payment requests, including reviewing requests for borrowings and approving disbursement of bank funds. This task involves checking to ensure compliance packages are received, and if not, coordinating with the deal team for delivery of compliance packages.--
• Manage deal pipeline--of participated loans and communicate with operations and 3rd--parties to ensure--fundings--are received on time.--
• Assist in--business-related--research requests, including quarterly projects and other one-off projects / data gathering efforts for--the business.-- Decisions: Cross-referencing borrower compliance status on compliance systems and/or spreadsheets in order to make a "Yes/No" decision on approving an advance request. Decision is NOT around whether the borrower--is in compliance--- rather it is around only approving advances if the borrower is marked as "compliant," and if not - escalating the request to the team for decisioning.-- Organizing a deal pipeline for participated--loans, and--staying on top of funding status with 3rd--parties involved. Following the transaction through the funding stages, knowing when to follow up. Is very prescriptive and can be done with limited manager oversight given how prescriptive the fund stages--are. Recommendations: Engage Portfolio Management team when a borrower is marked "out of compliance" for--decisioning-- Knowing when to escalate a potential--issue-- Qualifications Knowledge:
  • Understanding standard advance funding process within SVB, but also how a participation funding works with 3rd--parties.--
  • System knowledge and excellent organization.
  • An ability to escalate issues and follow-up appropriately.--
  • The candidate will possess strong organization and analytical skills, a good understanding of database systems, and advanced excel knowledge.
  • Furthermore, the candidate must be able to work independently, assess the role and duties proactively, and work collaboratively across multiple mediums (email, phone, in person) with cross functional teams (IT, deal teams, credit, operations) as well as Fund Banking leadership.
  • Candidate must have strong communication skills.-- Education and Experience:
