Join MUFG and be empowered to make your voice heard and your actions count. **Job Summary** The Financial Analyst reports to the manager of Capital Adequacy Process and Reporting Analytics within the Capital Management, CCAR, and Resolution Planning (CMRP) team within Corporate Treasury. The Financial Analyst is responsible for conducting, coordinating, and preparing analytical assessments and reporting on a recurring and ad hoc basis in support of capital management, planning and strategic business decision formulation. The Financial Analyst will be accountable for performing analysis in support of formulating recommendations for: the establishment and maintenance of capital adequacy internal capital targets and operating guidelines, capital issuances and distributions, capital allocation methodologies used in return on equity performance evaluations, and other analysis as may be assigned in the support of establishing capital policy and management related metrics. Analytic and reporting responsibilities span the U.S. holding company and its subsidiaries with the potential for extension to combined U.S. operations ("CUSO"). Analytical and reporting responsibilities include interpretation of U.S. Capital Plan, Tailoring, Stress Testing, and regulatory capital calculation regulations as set forth under Federal Reserve Board's (FRB) and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency's (OCC) regulatory requirements and issued supervisory guidance. The Financial Analyst is required to collaborate with key stakeholder groups across the Company in performing assigned responsibilities; these groups include, but are not limited to: Corporate Finance & Strategy (CF&S), Regulatory Reporting Shared Services, Controllers and Tax Services, lines of businesses, and the Corporate Treasury functional disciplines (e.g. funding, liquidity, etc.). **Major Responsibilities:** + 50% Performing analysis supporting the formulation of capital management criteria and performance metrics. Analysis will extend to, but not be limited to, areas including: real-time capital target and post-stress goal setting, dividend metric assessments and dividend payout ratio policy establishment, capital allocation methodology for use in Company performance reporting evaluation, and capital optimization strategies. In performing core capital planning analyses, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for ensuring that resulting recommendations align with the Company's Capital Management Policy, Risk Governance Policy, and risk appetite statements and all applicable regulations. + 25% Draft and produce appropriate, timely and accurate reporting and presentation materials incorporating capital related analytics and key communication items and themes as required to meet regulatory, Executive Management, Board of Directors, and Shareholders needs and expectations. + 25% Responsible for researching and analyzing the requirements and impacts of changing regulations effecting quantitative capital management and reporting activities inclusive of international and U.S. regulatory Standardized capital calculation methodologies, supervisory guidance, and other pertinent legal statutes, regulations and guidelines. Additionally, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for assisting in collaborating with colleagues in CMRP in additional related Annual Capital Planning functional responsibilities. **Qualifications** + 5 years of financial and risk management experience, including capital planning. + Strong forecasting, planning and analytical skills required. + Requires direct work experience in managing and developing executive level communication and reporting. + 3 to 5 years of working knowledge and understanding of economics and capital. + Thorough understanding of Basel III Standardized and Advanced Approaches regulatory capital required, with an understanding of capital related proposed changes preferred. + Demonstrable experience with complex spreadsheet models required. Moderate to excellent Word and PowerPoint skills. + An ability to work with and across multiple departments. + Excellent presentation and written communication skills. + CPA or CFA a plus. _The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed.
