Job Description:
Job Responsibilities Reviews a variety of materials for spelling
and grammatical errors, factual inaccuracies, etc. Applies
knowledge of AP and SRP style guides to make edits and suggestions
for clarity, consistency and accuracy. Fact-checks to ensure
content accuracy. (Think job titles, historical data, company
names, etc.) Works quickly with extreme attention to detail; meets
tight deadlines consistently. Collaborates with team members
virtually. Additional Information The Copy Editor sometimes reviews
sensitive material and must maintain
confidentiality.Education/Experience Completion of a bachelor's
degree from an accredited institution preferred. At least 10 years
of professional copy editing experience. Expert knowledge of the AP
Stylebook and experience applying its rules to copy. Experience
explaining suggested edits to others.
