Job Summary
Plans, manages and oversees the implementation of Career Services
programs and services. Implements Career Services and job placement
activities for students. Works with business, industry, and
external partners to establish employment opportunities.
Coordinates employer interviews and career fairs.
Essential Functions
35% - Implements career services and job placement activities for
students and graduates; tracks success rates
25% - Works with business, industry and external and internal
(District Career Services personnel) partners to establish
employment opportunities
20% - Counsels and trains students and graduates on job strategies,
assist students with resume and cover letter
10% - Coordinates recruitment events to include employer interviews
and career fairs
10% - Update marketing material and media presence, provide
training as needed, other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in
education, sociology, business administration or directly related
field and four years of student services or related experience.

OR
An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly
related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to
successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those
listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements
set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.
Desired Qualifications
A. Master's Degree or higher earned degree from an accredited
college or university with emphasis on Counseling
B. Experience working in an educational setting
C. Experience providing oversight and supervision of staff
members
D. Experience working with budget planning/financial management and
development
E. Experience using computer or web-based technology in the
delivery of programs and services (i.e. online databases, Microsoft
Office, and internet resources)
F. Experience working in career or employment and job placement
services
Special Working Conditions
This is a short term position. May be required to work at multiple
sites or locations and travel locally. May be required to sit for a
prolonged period of time; viewing computer monitor. This position
is in person but may attend some meetings remotely
