We are seeking a candidate who will contribute to our diverse,

the table. Logan Simpson has an immediate opening for a regular
full-time Archaeological Crew Chief to be based out of our
Flagstaff or Tempe, Arizona office. Responsibilities Include:
Supervising cultural resources surveys and excavation fieldwork
throughout Arizona and adjacent states, including the documentation
of cultural resources in the field, operating GPS units with a data
recorder, preparing site records, and providing direction to field
technicians during fieldwork.
Independently preparing complex technical documents for cultural
resources projects and contributing to technical survey and
excavation reports. Position Requires: Bachelor's degree in
Anthropology or related field.
3+ years of cultural resources management (CRM) experience and
demonstrable experience in cultural resources surveys
site-recording, excavation, and monitoring fieldwork.
Demonstrated experience supervising cultural resources
Proficiency with technical writing and Microsoft Office
Ability to demonstrate written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures and in remote
locations (camping is a possibility).
Ability to walk up to 10 miles per day over steep terrain for
extended periods of time.
Willingness to work overnight and on weekends.
Be self-motivated and able to work cooperatively in a team-oriented
Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Exemptions from
vaccination may be considered for medical reasons or for a
sincerely held religious belief. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working on CRM field projects in Arizona and, ideally,
in one or more adjacent states (NM, UT, NV, CO, and CA).
Ability to identify an area of analytical expertise and/or an
archaeological research interest.
Experience working with Native American Tribal agencies and
personnel. Compensation: This is a full-time position paid on a
salaried basis between $49,920 to $62,400 annually, depending on
experience and education. Logan Simpson offers the following
