and is ITAR registered.? Summary of Responsibilities: Responsible
for ensuring continuous and cost-effective supply of raw material,
component, and finished goods inventory to meet the needs of
internal and external customers. Ensuring the processing of orders
and the maintenance of inventory through schedule planning, machine
loading, material requirements and procurement, etc. to obtain
maximum utilization of staffing and equipment. Manage overall
material and component procurement (purchasing), scheduling of
material flow in the production process and control of the
inventory of raw, and/or materials. Typical Duties:Negotiate, plan
and issue PO's in support of prototype and production
requirements.Provide clear communication to the business regarding
product availability and timing, Identify and resolve short term
product availability issues as neededDevelop and utilize various
reports to manage open purchase orders (move-in/move-out) as
business demands require.Manage inventory levels to
achieve/maintain budgeted levels; Maintain planning parameters
including safety stocksWork closely with Production, Engineering,
Quality, and Strategic Procurement to resolve issues, as required;
Review and process Engineering changes and new product releases, as
required.Drive, promote and develop positive communication
cross-functionally to improve forecast accuracy and ensure
forecasts and purchase orders are effectively communicated to
suppliers.Prepare and execute daily production schedules in a
timely manner to meet customers demand and delivery
goals.Coordinate timely disposition and corrective actions for
non-conforming purchased product with quality team members, users
and vendors.Act as liaison between customer care, sales,
production, engineering, and purchasing.Own the monthly and
quarterly shipments forecast. Responsible for timely reporting of
KPI's.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree preferredMinimum of 3 - 5
years of Planning or Scheduling experience within a manufacturing
environment.PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
applications (e.g. Excel). Must have the ability to efficiently
generate spreadsheet information and summarize data into readable
reports.Demonstrated experience in Purchasing and Planning
transactions in SAP strongly desired.APICS certification
preferred.Previous manufacturing experience in a high mix / low
volume business desired.Demonstrated MRP experience using an
integrated ERP system.Customer focused.Analytical and system
proficiency skills.Strong communication skills, including verbal,
written, and listening skills to affect positive
outcomes.Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills with
proven ability to effectively interface with all levels of workers,
from the shop floor to management.Self-motivated with high energy
ability to prioritize and multi-task using strong organizational,
analytical and motivational skills along with an ability to thrive
in a fast-paced, metrics-driven, performance-based environment with
