ready for a challenge? PADT is currently seeking a full-time
Business Development Executive in our Simulation Software sales
group.Summary: The Business Development Executive ("BDE") is
primarily responsible for driving new top-line revenue across a
multiple state territory. As part of a regional team, you will be
responsible for leading the SMB market penetration strategy for
PADT's simulation software business (Ansys) as well as running the
entire sales cycle. You will drive new and incremental revenue by
analyzing territory customer trends, creating and executing market
strategies, developing and presenting compelling content,
developing strategic networking relationships in the start-up and
academic community, prospecting, acquiring and developing new
business with direct clients. You will also work closely with
partners and colleagues in driving new business within their target
segments. You will interact with new and current clients, gain
referrals from them and form strong trust relationships that open
doors and close deals. You will maintain an extensive knowledge of
current market conditions, contending offerings and current
penetration of simulation solutions and industry best
practices.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the
following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Direct sales of simulation software in multi-state
territory
- Territory planning, including strategic market penetration
plans and networking
- Brainstorming with the sales, partners and business development
team to create new market opportunities
- Identifying sales and services that would appeal to new
clients
- Creating sales pitches and related messaging and door opening
content
- Executing sales objectives (exceed quota and MBOs)
- Finding and following new sales leads, including lead
development and closure
- Arranging business meetings and one-on-one conversations with
prospective clients
- Attending industry networking events, including key social
networking tools
- Preparing and negotiating sales contracts; following company
rules and guidelines
- Building trust and long-term relationships with
clients/customers
- Managing detailed records of activities, sales, revenue, and
other important data (CRM)
- Making professional decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Develops exceptional knowledge of simulation solutions, related
engineering technologies, and competitorsPerforms other duties as
assigned

Education/Experience:
- Minimum bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or
bachelor's degree with technical sales experience
- Minimum 2 years sales experience with a proven track record of
success
- Demonstrated basic understanding of PLM, CAD or the engineering
simulation space
- Excellent communication (including at executive level),
organizational skills and the ability to work independently
and
- collaboratively
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Demonstrated basic understanding of industrial product
development process, PLM and/or engineering
simulation.Self-motivated and able to work independentlyPreferred
Experience

- Demonstrated knowledge of Simulation (Ansys) products/services,
and pricing practices a plus
