Job Description Purpose: Responsible for connecting community members and service providers with TCAA to increase awareness and program participation. Areas of responsibility include identifying service needs, building potential partnerships and community engagement methods, increasing participation especially in programs addressing food insecurity, representing TCAA in the service area(s), and monitoring and evaluating the outcomes of community outreach activities. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required. Essential Functions: Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Conduct an assessment to identify underserved communities and populations at risk for food insecurity Develop an outreach and engagement plan to increase participation among targeted populations Develop presentation materials and deliver presentations to educate community members, service providers, and groups on TCAA Maintain a complete understanding of all applicable program entry and eligibility procedures Maintain a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances, and other communication opportunities Attend and conduct presentations at outreach exhibitions and activities in the community; be active at community-focused events held by city, private, nonprofit, and faith organizations Work with marketing and public relations team to make appropriate use of social media and other marketing channels to increase awareness of and participation in TCAA programs Serve as the liaison between TCAA and identified community groups or partners for ongoing outreach or collaboration and to conduct special projects Assist with program orientations and recruitment of participants. Achieve a measurable increase in participation among diverse populations impacted by food insecurity. Maintain a supply of program information flyers and materials for distribution to the public Maintain an understanding of community needs and trends and provide data and input into agency business plans Prepare newsletters, reports, and other written materials Provide timely and accurate records and reports from community outreach efforts Other duties as needed and appropriately assigned Minimum Qualifications: At least 2 years of directly related professional experience, including specific work experience involving services to older adults and others from backgrounds of disadvantage Experienced in conducting community needs assessments. Familiar with U.S. Census and other community data sources. Authentic ---people person--- who excels in relationship building. Friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude. Outstanding written communication and presentation skills. Able to confidently and effectively relay information to a variety of audiences. Demonstrated initiative, able to work independently, able to prioritize work and manage multiple priorities on deadline Able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with public and private entities to maximize affiliate strategic goals and plans Excellent project management skills and the ability to think strategically and programmatically Proficient in Microsoft Office and on top of social media trends. Able to work a flexible schedule to attend events including infrequent but possible evenings and weekends Bilingual English/Spanish required Applicants with lived experiences shared by TCAA participants are encouraged to apply Education: Related education or training beyond high school in the non-profit field, communications, marketing, or a related field. A Bachelor---s degree is preferred. Additional Requirement: Possess valid AZ driver---s license and vehicle to use in performance of job. Ability to obtain Level I Fingerprint Clearance Card, Central Registry Clearance, and Adult Protective Service Clearance upon hiring Status: Full-time/Non-Exempt, 40 hours/week.
