Job Description:

Skills Required:
Able to operate diverse types of company owned Forklifts, stretch wrappers, and other equipment commonly used in materials handling
Maintaining valid Driver's License to operate company vehicles, including pickup truck with trailers
Intermediatory skills in MS office applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook.
Ability to read varied manufacturing details as necessary for materials and Inventory management

Equipment assigned to Materials Coordinator:
Company Truck and Trailer
2 forklifts primarily used in handling Work in Process materials and shipping
Stretch Wrapping machines

Materials Coordinator Responsibilities:

Training
Train associates in assigned tasks ensuring safety and quality
Conduct ad Hoc training to ensure timely performance of tasks assigned to associates.

SAFETY
Enforce and follow all safe material handling procedures to ensure everyone's safety including adherence to usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Maintain a safe working environment by removing obstacles to exits and removing safe working conditions in a timely manner.

Receiving
Receive Raw Materials like steel, tube, and wire and moving to storage locations
Receive hardware items like PEM hardware, casters, nuts and bolts, etc and move to appropriate cells and inventory locations.
Receive general office and janitorial supplies and move to storage locations
REJECT any acceptable materials and or damaged shipments
Document receipt of any damaged shipments
Review receipts with receiving documents for accuracy
Receive painted parts and reconcile with paint orders
Process all receiving documents to purchasing and accounting personnel

Preparing and shipping parts to Paint and Plating
Make sure proper Part Identifier tags and Purchase Order Identifier tags are placed on each pallet
Conduct spot checks on inventory counts to ensure proper counts are placed on tags
Shipp against paint and plating orders to ensure all necessary parts that require outside processing are shipped to relevant vendors.
Schedule truck drivers' and Material handlers' day to day operations, with hourly tasks, to move parts between Fabrication to Paint and paint to assembly in timely manner.

Loading and unload various trucks
Participate and or guide as need in unloading all receipts/deliveries
Participate and or guide in loading shipments to subcontractors
Participate and or guide in planning and loading Outbound shipments

Shipping
Participate in review of daily shipping requirements to customers
Ensure outbound shipments are labeled and or marked with proper identification
Review

Equipment Maintenance
Ensure Daily, weekly, and monthly periodic checks are conducted as planned
Facilitate in equipment upkeeping with internal and external resources
Ensure all maintenance, repair records, insurance and title registration documents are maintained as needed and updated in a timely manner.

Miscellaneous
Reconciling shipping and receiving records
Manage all general packing supplies as needed
Participate in managing special projects as required and or assigned.
