Executive Assistant to CPO & People Team Projects Lead

Job Description:

The EA & People Team Projects Lead will act as an extension of the CPO, providing executive and logistical support on day-to-day activities, as well as supporting and streamlining HR processes and projects/events.
We are looking for a highly motivated, over-achieving, hands-on individual who flourishes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Previous experience in heavy calendaring, meeting preparation, presentation design and strategic projects required. Experience supporting events and HR processes a plus.
What you get to do
EA to CPO:
Provide strategic administration and operational leadership to the Office of the CPO
Coordinate work streams for the CPO to ensure implemented procedures support productivity and reflect priorities
Take ownership in highlighting areas of improvement, automation opportunities and improved workflow
Provide independent leadership and project management of CPO-initiated projects
Proactively and efficiently manage the CPO's complex calendar and commitments
Prepare and partake in key meetings by creating presentation materials, taking meeting notes and driving meeting action items
Prioritize work by considering its risk, importance, urgency, and potential business implications

Projects and Events:
Assist in the development, documentation and administration of HR processes (including but not limited to offboarding and role change administration)
Support and own team member milestone recognitions and events to celebrate our team and their accomplishments
Budget, schedule, plan & host all events from end to end whether in person or virtual
Milestone Events: 3, 5, 10, 15 & 20+ year anniversaries
Life Events: baby shower & wedding shower
Proactively support team member life events with gift ordering throughout the year
Assist in the organization of Sequoia events, programs, wellness and benefits events to support & encourage the connection & support of our team members
Budget, schedule, plan, promote & host connection events throughout the year
Connection: Coffee Break Connections, Connect & Craft, etc.
Wellness: Miles in May, Week of Wellness, Steps Challenges, Yoga etc.
Qualifications
5+ years of EA experience, ideally previously supporting a C-level executive
1+ year of HR-related support a plus
Heavy calendaring and meeting preparation experience in a fast-growing company
Ability to work under pressure and have constant change on a variety of projects
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
Strong program and project management skills with the ability to multitask
Solutions-oriented team player who takes initiative and is accountable for results
Strong commitment and alignment to Sequoia's mission and values
Flexible and adaptable to work effectively in demanding and ambiguous situations
Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Bachelor's degree required
