Reporting to the Sr Director of Client Services, this new Sr. Portfolio Advisor role will support a new strategic channel portfolio within the Startup Banking client segment. They will play a key role as a first point of contact as part of the SVB onboarding process and the first 90 days as a client with SVB. They develop and maintain consultative relationships and serves as the point for all deposit and operational issues, including, but not limited to: on-boarding; account maintenance including recommending modifications or additions to products or programs; and on-going training or education to SVB services and products..

This position will:

  • Support On-Boarding of New Clients or adding accounts for existing clients may include direct action or coordination of on-boarding activities with other internal partners
  • Drive the Welcome Call campaign for this portfolio where they proactively connect with new clients at key touchpoints in their new SVB relationship. These touchpoints will include training and education, advise on SVB products and services, fraud prevention and guidance on self-service tools.
  • Support account maintenance activities inclusive of; overdrafts, verifying wire transactions, updating account signers, investigate fraud issues and fee waivers
  • Maintain a knowledge of various products and accountable for advising clients on options to positively influence change in their operations which may include recommending modification additional bank products or programs
  • Possess extensive knowledge related to bank deposit and cash management products and services, including but not limited to online banking platforms, account reporting, cash management disbursement and collection solutions.


Skills and Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalency PLUS 3 years related professional experience (banking/financial services industry or customer service
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements that impact financial services/banking
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong positive relationships with external clients and internal partners
  • Proficient in MS Office software


Skills and Requirements:

  • Commercial credit card experience
  • College degree
