Therapy Lab is hiring! As a Clinical Lab Assistant II, you will
provide administrative support for the laboratory, provide logistic
support for shipment and receipt of Cellular Therapy Products,
monitor and support performance of required equipment maintenance,
and ensure that the laboratory processes are supported by
maintaining appropriate inventory levels of reagents and supplies.
The CLA II role acts as the primary point of contact for many of
our clients and provides the opportunity to build relationships and
trust with our key clients. This role serves as a liaison for the
laboratory and interacts with physicians, nurses, and vendors to
coordinate our effort to support direct patient care. You are not
only touching products; you are touching lives!
This is a 2nd shift role with scheduled hours of 3:00 pm -
11:30 pm Monday - Friday
Under direct supervision, this position performs a variety of
record keeping duties and prepares routine specimens and performs
ancillary tasks to support testing. Works with other team members
to ensure timely, quality, test results.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and
external regulations. Brings compliance issues to the attention of
Assures quality customer service to all customers.
Unpacks samples received from internal and external customers.
Accessions samples received for testing. Identifies unacceptable or
missing samples, labels, or paperwork. Reports all discrepancies to
the supervisor and assists with resolution.
Performs data entry.
Orders laboratory reagents and supplies.
Communicates pertinent information to customers, as directed.
Assists in maintaining inventory of supplies and reagents, as
Assists with maintaining the cleanliness of equipment and work
Packs and ships supplies and/or specimens.
Assists in processing bio-waste, specimens and micro-plates.
Performs receipt and preparation of samples, as directed.
Drives the company vehicle to make deliveries and pickups.
Performs all other duties, at the discretion of management, as
High School graduate or GED required.
Valid in-state driver's license required.
One year related experience required.
Ability to key accurately and be detail oriented.
Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift and bend.
Ability to organize and prioritize a variable work-load.
Good analytical, problem solving and communications skills.
Able to make sound decisions and work under pressure.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Must possess a good driving record.
Must be able to demonstrate good computer input and retrieval
