Join First Transit as Bus Fueler/Washer - Servicing Valley Metro!The Service Employee is a labor-intensive position in a fast-paced environment, where the employee refuels and verifies fluid levels (oil, coolant) on all buses and performs cleaning of vehicles and facilities inside and out. First Transit is proud to offer:* Hourly wages starting at $15.33* Excellent benefits package with paid holidays & vacation, medical, vision, and dental coverage, and 401(k) savings plan.* Paid Vacation and Holidays* Career advancement opportunities* A great work environment!Fleet Care Service Employee major responsibilities:* Performs the refueling of all buses.* Records the fuel tank meter reading and stick tank for daily measurements at the start and end of each refueling period.* Enters vehicle refueling information on each vehicle refueled into fuel log sheet.* Cleans the interior and exterior of vehicles.* Drives vehicles through the bus servicing and cleaning process and parks vehicles.* Assist with bus exchanges in the field, by driving replacement vehicle to location of vehicle which needs to be exchanged.* Checks and maintains fluid levels including engine oil, transmission fluid, coolant, etc. * Verify literature is stocked and current in every bus.* Maintains service lane in a clean, safe and orderly condition.* Performs janitorial services of grounds and buildings as required.* Assumes additional responsibilities as required.Fleet Care Service Employee requirements:* Valid driver's license; Willing to obtain CDL while employed (company training provided!)* Ability to perform physical demands of job which includes standing and walking for entire shift.* Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions--including extreme heat, cold, and rainy conditions.* Previous experience with commercial vehicle fueling, cleaning, and detailing is desired.* Strong communication skills* Be subject to a drug test and DOT physical.First Transit is a leading provider of transportation contract and management services, moving more than 350 million passengers annually.
