will serve as a senior technical leader within the Network
Architecture team, responsible for enterprise network architecture,
design governance, and standards development across classified
environments. This role defines and maintains network architecture
principles, ensures alignment with TOGAF and DoDAF frameworks, and
guides programs through consistent, scalable, and secure network
designs. As a Subject Matter Expert in networking, you will provide
advanced architectural guidance and technical leadership to
operational and engineering teams, support complex problem
resolution, research emerging technologies, and collaborate across
organizations to shape the future of classified network solutions.
What You Will Do Lead the design and evolution of enterprise
network architectures supporting classified programs. Define,
document, and maintain network architecture principles, standards,
and reference architectures. Apply formal architecture frameworks
such as TOGAF and DoDAF to guide solution development and ensure
traceability from mission needs to implementation. Establish and
enforce architecture governance, ensuring compliance with
standards, security requirements, and best practices. Develop and
maintain architecture artifacts including system views, operational
views, and technical standards documentation. Serve as a technical
authority for network-related design decisions. Provide Tier 3/4
escalation support to operational network teams, resolving complex
issues that require deep technical expertise and
architectural-level analysis. Partner with engineering,
cybersecurity, systems, and program teams to translate
architectural intent into implementable designs. Participate in and
lead architecture reviews, design forums, and technical working
groups. Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption where
appropriate. Provide mentoring and technical leadership to
engineers and junior architects. Support proposal efforts and new
program captures with architectural guidance. Communicate complex
technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical
stakeholders. Support long-term modernization, standardization, and
simplification initiatives for classified network environments.
Communicates with parties within and outside of own function and
typically has responsibilities for communicating with parties
external to the organization, (e.g., customers, vendors, etc.).
Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140
/ 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security CE or
equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date. What You
Will Learn Enterprise-scale classified network architecture
practices. Advanced secure networking solutions and design
patterns. Cross-functional collaboration with cybersecurity,
systems engineering, and infrastructure teams. Long-range technical
strategy development for classified networks. Qualifications You
Must Have Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent
experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years' experience
Experience developing and governing enterprise-scale network
architectures. Experience working with network technologies,
including routing, switching, firewalls, WAN, segmentation, zero
trust concepts, encryption, and secure communications. Experience
using formal architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, DoDAF, or
Zachman. Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret DOD
security clearance, with the ability to acquire a Top Secret
clearance is required, prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is
required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security
clearance. Qualifications We Prefer TOGAF certification or formal
TOGAF training. Experience supporting classified systems and
environments. Familiarity with RMF / CSRMC, NIST, STIGs, ICD 503,
and other DoD security frameworks. Experience developing enterprise
technical standards and governance models. Strong written, visual,
and verbal communication skills (Visio, PowerPoint, architecture
artifacts). Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical
communities. Cisco CCNA and/or CCNP certification. Experience with
Cisco, Palo Alto, or equivalent enterprise networking platforms.

132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good
