Job Duties :
-Contributes to the Verification Testing Process
-Participates in Design and Code Reviews
-Specifies, Designs, and Debugs, and Verifies Medical Applications Software
-Participates in Software Requirements Specifications inspections

Request Notes :
*We're looking for somebody with at least 4 years of experience - more is better
*Should have very strong 'Python' and 'PERL' software coding abilities.

Position Description:
*This position will be part of the IC Test Systems Engineering Group.
*The individual is responsible for developing software code using Python or PERL scripting languages on a Linux platform to interface with other software systems.

Position Responsibilities:
. Develop function specific software code from written specifications and requirements
. Create and maintain software design specifications
. Support configuration management of developed software
. Coordinate software development efforts with both internal and external partners
. Work under minimal supervision of a mentor/ team leader

Basic Qualifications:
. Fluent understanding of structured programming languages (PERL, Python required)
. Work with SOAP Web Services
. Create scripted SQL database queries
. Experience with Linux (Red Hat), including Unix shell scripting.
. Experience with Object Oriented programming.
. Solid knowledge of IP networking and protocols.
. Experience with Unit Test
. Strong understanding of software configuration management practices and principles
. Familiarity with MS Office - WORD, EXCEL, MS Project, Outlook
. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
. Ability to interface well with peers and technical contacts from other disciplines

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
. Write clean and well architected Python code
. Write code that scales well and is easily maintainable by other developers
. Understanding of automated Manufacturing Systems and wafer probe processes is a plus
. Experience developing software in a development environment and releasing to a production environment.
