This position offers remote work allowing employees a combination

This is a grant funded assignment with a projected end date of
06-30-2023 with renewal based on available funds and the needs of
MCCCD.

Job Summary
KJZZ is looking for a digital producer to help create and produce
content for the station's website and social channels. We want
someone with fresh eyes and new ideas about how to serve our
growing digital audience - wherever they may be engaging with
us.
The digital producer works with editors and reporters to create
engaging digital experiences for both KJZZ.org readers and users of
our social platforms. This position is also responsible for
reporting and writing stories each week that appeal to online
audiences.
The ideal candidate is passionate and knowledgeable about a variety
of social platforms, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Experience managing professional brand accounts and graphic design
skills preferred.
Essential Functions
50% - Edits stories and scripts for online publication; ensures
proper grammar usage and appropriate communication style. Works
with KJZZ's editorial and reporting team to create engaging digital
experiences for KJZZ.org users
20% - Creates social media campaigns for brand channels
20% - Writes weekly news for online with the potential for
broadcast
10% - Creates and maintains metrics reports and other documentation
to track site content
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in
journalism, radio/television, broadcasting or directly related
field and one year directly related experience such as audio and/or
video program and production support experience.
OR
An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly
related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to
successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those
listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements
set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.
Desired Qualifications
A. Two (2) years of experience producing digital content for a news
website
B. One (1) or more years of news reporting experience
C. Two (2) years experience with Photoshop, Adobe Premiere and/or
other digital content creation tools
D. Experience creating, writing and distributing content on a range
of social media platforms as demonstrated by a portfolio of
work
E. Provide a list of digital media tools you have used and years of

Special Working Conditions
Possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D driver's license is
required; must meet minimum standards regarding driving: . Travel
to campus during interview/selection process will be at candidate's
own expense. Will be required to travel or be assigned to all MCCCD
locations. May require numerous evenings or weekends. May require
prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen. May be required to
lift or carry up to #25 lbs
