ETL Developer (Data Analysis)

Remote to Start

San Ramon, CA/ Tempe, AZ

Responsibilities:

Work with Product owner and business user to priorities the Epic and perform backlog grooming

Interact with business or Vendor to gather requirement.

Preparing Detailed data Analysis on business requirement/stories, Detailed Design Document (DDD) and planning document.

Preparing ETL pipeline design document and updating the Source to Target (S2T) sheet based on DDD when required. Design using reusable components when possible.

Collaborates with the team and other engineers on new technologies and alternatives to plan and implement complex assignments and tasks.

Coordination and explaining requirements to off shore team (India) and other members in team.

Implementing business requirement/logic in ETL mappings with Optimized Transformations, control tables, error logging, auditing, data quality checks

Design physical and logical data model when required, including creating new temporary work tables when needed for the requirement.

Preparing Unit Test case document and Validation sheet.

Creating/modifying UNIX shell scripts or python script based on requirements.

Preparing Implementation plan and Change Management ticket for Prod implementation.

Perform System Integration testing, regression testing and (post production validation) as QA Engineer as well.

Support other ETL developers; providing mentoring, technical assistance, troubleshooting and alternative development solutions




Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related fields
At least 8 years of data engineering, data analysis or software development experience implementing data solutions.

4+ years of experience with ETL Tools (Informatica, DataStage, Data Build Tool, etc.)

4+ years of experience in Relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL Server)

3+ years of experience in utilizing Unix shell scripting or Python scripting.

Strong Data Analysis skill

At least 3 years of banking domain experience.

Experience on Agile Methodologies.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts

Experience in developing slowly changing dimensions, error handling and performance tuning


Nice to have:

Experience in preparing Test cases and Test scenarios

Knowledge on AWS S3 storage.

Understanding of Electronic Fund transfer (EFT) systems such as PEP+ ACH, Fed Wire, CHIPS/Cards payments, Zelle Pay, SWIFT messaging standards.

Knowledge on Online Banking and VisionIP/Teller TP systems
