Job Summary
Under the guidance of the Director of Customer Care, the Systems
Administrator manages and oversees MCCCD's endpoint management
systems at the District Office. This role leads activities related
to packaging, deployment, and updates for operating systems,
applications, and the Windows environment. Additionally, this
position serves as a technical lead and point of escalation for
Tier 3 issues and problem resolution.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience maintaining and
administering various endpoint application portals (antivirus,
security) and working in a supervisory capacity.

Essential Functions
55% - Administers, configures, and oversees day-to-day activities
for endpoint management systems including Microsoft Endpoint
Configuration Manager, Cloud Management Gateway, Intune, and JAMF;
builds, configures and deploys software packages and operating
systems images; ensures O/S updates are applied and in compliance
with operational specifications; ensures applications are updated
based on established frequency; collaborates with vendors to
troubleshoot system issues and ensures vendors are responding
accordingly; documents complex processes within the environment
20% - Plans, organizes, assigns, supervises, reviews and evaluates
the work of assigned staff; identifies staff training needs,
professional development opportunities, and mentoring; participates
in hiring and coaching activities; oversee the resolution of
escalated issues
10% - Ensures essential systems (AV/Security/and other endpoint
management systems) are being maintained and alerts are being
addressed; ensures AV and security software clients are reporting
correctly; ensures clients are up to date; ensures that detected
threats are handled in a timely manner; sunsets and/or maintains
stale clients
10% - Assists with technical support issues and helpdesk
tickets
5% - Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in any
field and one (1) year of experience designing,
configuring/installing hardware and/or software, maintaining
servers or data communication equipment.
OR
Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in any
field and three (3) years of experience designing,
configuring/installing hardware and/or software, maintaining
servers or data communication equipment.
OR
High School Diploma/GED and five (5) years of experience designing,
configuring/installing hardware and/or software, maintaining
servers or data communication equipment.
Desired Qualifications
A. Experience administering SCCM or Intune
B. Experience administering JAMF or other endpoint management
systems
C. IT Certifications (e.g. SCCM, JAMF, A+, InfoSec)
D. Bachelor's degree or higher in an IT related field
E. Experience in Higher Education IT; preferably with similar
responsibilities
Special Working Conditions
This position is remote with potential to come into the office as
needed. The District Office is located at: 2419 W. 14th Street,
Tempe, AZ 85281
