If so We are targeting a Principal Software Engineer capable of delivering high quality, secure solutions that drive strategic goals and roadmaps. Responsibilities include analyzing, designing, building, and deploying high quality application releases while working with the Business Owners and overall Technology leadership to ensure alignment with high-level architectural and technology goals. This is a hands-on development position requiring technical expertise and creativity, a strong sense of ownership, great communication skills and a passion for delivering results in a fast-paced, agile environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES -- Design, document, develop, and deploy a multi-environment, multi-tier application including installed client (Electron), native mobile, and web applications, along with corresponding back-end. -- Be fully comfortable working with all areas of the application architecture and be familiar with debugging, profiling, and optimizing across the full application stack. -- Work in a Scrum/Agile environment to release on a regular cadence while ensuring high velocity. -- Collaborate closely with other developers, Product and Project Management, QA, Architecture, and DevOps to ensure that the right solutions are being delivered. -- Refine feature requirements with Product Management on a regular basis. -- Generate automated unit/integration tests, CI/CD artifacts and monitoring infrastructure as part of deliverables. -- Continuously look for opportunities for improvement in practices, coding standards, SDLC and business solutions in a variety of areas. -- Identify, document and drive standards in the API/services area. -- Mentor and train other developers. JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS -- Bachelor---s degree in Computer Science or related field. Master---s Degree a plus. -- Minimum 7-10 years of full-stack software development experience with at least 2 years developing and deploying services and APIs. -- Full-stack expertise including relational databases, search server, middle-tier, and front-end UI components -- Strong understanding of OO fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms -- Experience developing web, desktop native, and mobile native applications -- Front-end development experience, with expert knowledge of HTML/CSS -- Expert knowledge of JavaScript and AJAX, and experience with frameworks including Angular or React -- Server experience with Node.js and frameworks like Hapi or Express -- Responsive UI design experience using Bootstrap or Angular Material -- Solid background with relational databases (MySQL/Postgres) and SQL DML/DDL, and with ORM tools such as TypeORM. Knowledge of migration frameworks like Knex a plus -- Familiarity with development under OSX and Linux, including bash and CLI utilities -- Familiarity with deploying to cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure. -- Hands-on experience with security standards such as OAuth2 and JWT -- Hands-on experience with UI frameworks like Angular Material, NG Prime a big plus -- Ability to design systems with support for scaling, HA, and DR -- Thorough understanding of REST API design and consumption -- Experience with API Governance system such as Apigee -- Strong user of GIT for source control and JIRA for tracking purposes -- Ability to absorb, understand and communicate written and verbal information and ideas, and to deliver in a concise manner that is easily understood by others. -- Ability to apply critical thinking to identifying the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. -- Experience with providing 3rd-Tier customer support -- Desired: Experience with JavaScript build and testing frameworks, such as npm, bower, Webpack, etc. -- Experience with CI/CD platforms like Jenkins or Travis -- Hands-on experience doing unit testing with Jasmine and Karma -- Experience with other languages like .Net or Java a significant plus
