Resiliency Engineering Team in Tempe, AZ. Ideal candidate must have
a successful track record of software delivery, solution design,
configuration, extension, customization, post live support
experience, and application development in the cloud.
A Day In The Life Of A Resiliency Engineer Developer - req13403
As member of the State Farm Resiliency Engineering Team, your
typical work will be focused around ensuring that Site Reliability
Engineering principles are utilized both by application development
and infrastructure teams across the enterprise. This includes both
public and private cloud. Typical activities include, but are not
limited to, consulting with development projects, reviewing
applications that are having availability issues, making
recommendations, building and maintaining frameworks that support
eventing, monitoring, and distributed tracing integrations, and
helping shape the development culture to become an SRE first
mindset. Because this is an evolving area you will have the
opportunity to be on the ground floor as we infuse SRE principles
into all aspects of the application lifecycle. Our goal is to make
resiliency principles and tools easy to consume on an enterprise
scale. You will have the opportunity to make an impact at an
enterprise level across a large IT department.

We Are Looking for Candidates With
Required Technical Skills:
- 3 - 5 years professional software development experience
- Hands on experience in DevOps including CI/CD pipelines using
- Hands on development experience in one or more of the following
- or similar with willingness to learn
- JSON and API development
- AWS platform experience and cloud native tools
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science.
- Familiarity with SRE principles.
- Proven track record of deploying resilient solutions
Preferred Technical Skills
- Java/J2EE, SOAP/Restful web services development
- Spring/Spring Boot
- Pivotal Cloud Foundry
- Databases - Postgres, DyanamoDB, or similar.
- Work experience in a collaborative team environment
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology
- Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and
- AWS Associate Level Certification
