Job Summary
The Food Services Program Manager coordinates and supervises
sustainable cafe operations and cafe educational programs including
hands-on participation in cafe operations/production, teaching and
curriculum development. This position is in charge of day to day
food production for the cafe and catering services along with
overseeing lab preparation in the kitchen and garden.
Essential Functions
45% - Coordinates and Supervises the sustainable cafe operations
and cafe educational programs, including hands-on participation
with production, teaching and curriculum development
15% - Orders food, beverages and other supplies while maintaining
inventory and planning menus
15% - Assures that Maricopa County Health Department standards are
exceeded
15% - Participates in employee hiring, training, discipline and
termination activities. Monitors all cafe related budgets and
approves expenditures
10% - Adheres to and ensures compliance with applicable policies
and procedures and other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in
culinary arts, hospitality or related field, five years of
experience involving hospitality/catering for large events or large
commercial production in a hospitality environment or educational
system which includes two years of supervisory experience.
OR
An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly
related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to
successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those
listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements
set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.
Desired Qualifications
A. Five (5) years experience as a supervisor in a sustainable
foodservice establishment
B. Four (4) years experience teaching culinary classes
C. Experience developing culinary curriculum for credit courses and
non-credit workshops
D. Five (5) years experience working with budgets
Special Working Conditions
Possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D driver's license is
required; must meet minimum standards regarding driving:

to campus during interview/selection process will be at candidate's
own expense. May require prolonged periods of viewing a computer
screen. May be required to lift or carry up to #25 lbs.
