Job Description Job Description Description: Arizona Gynecology Consultants is seeking a detail-oriented Phone Triage Nurse to support our clinical teams by managing incoming patient communications regarding gynecologic care. This role does not provide direct, in-person patient care. Instead, you will play a critical behind-the-scenes role by reviewing clinical message queues, returning patient calls, and ensuring timely, accurate follow-up using established protocols. This position is ideal for a nurse who thrives in structured workflows, enjoys clinical problem-solving, and values consistency, accuracy, and teamwork. Monitor and manage clinical message “buckets” in AthenaOne Review patient inquiries, symptoms, and requests and respond per clinical protocols Return patient phone calls to provide guidance, education, and next steps Route urgent or complex concerns to providers appropriately Document all interactions accurately and timely in the EMR Coordinate with providers, medical assistants, and leadership to ensure continuity of care Support efficient patient flow by resolving issues without unnecessary escalations Remote or hybrid options may be considered depending on experience and licensure. This position may be filled as either full-time or part-time, depending on candidate availability and practice needs. Requirements: Active RN license Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in ambulatory care, women’s health, GYN, or primary care Experience with telephone triage or clinical call management strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to assess patient concerns and determine urgency using established clinical protocols Strong proficiency with electronic medical records (AthenaOne preferred) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong documentation skills with attention to accuracy and timeliness Ability to manage multiple message queues and meet response-time expectations Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with providers and clinical teams Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements Reliable attendance and ability to work assigned schedules consistently
