Family Medicine Residency - Program DirectorIna Health Center - Clinical Education - FM Residency Program, Tucson, Arizona, United States of AmericaJob DescriptionThe Family Medicine Residency Program Director leads a community-based training program serving Marana, Tucson, and surrounding areas. The Director is responsible for all program outcomes through leadership and oversight, aligning with institutional and departmental strategic missions. The role includes managing the program and faculty, ensuring the success of educational and clinical objectives.Key responsibilities include direct patient care involvement, supervision, mentoring, and teaching residents. The Director also serves as the Site Medical Director of the residency clinic.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Board-certified Family Medicine Physician (American Board of Family Medicine or Osteopathic)
• Valid, unrestricted Arizona medical license
• Current DEA registration
• Ability to obtain healthcare plan credentialing
• Minimum 3 years as a Family Physician and 2 years in medical education or administration (preferably in leadership roles)
• Fingerprint Clearance Card (or ability to obtain)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• First Aid certificationPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in rural or underserved settings. Equivalent education and experience may be considered if directly related to the role.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYManages department staff, evaluates performance, sets organizational goals, and oversees staffing.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of GME funding and mechanisms
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Leadership skills to motivate and build high-performing teamsDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProgram Development and Leadership: Ensure accreditation, develop curricula, mentor faculty, recruit residents, and maintain educational standards. Manage program budget and foster community and academic partnerships. Participate in professional development and institutional activities.
