Job Description

Facilities Management, University Classrooms, seeks a Program Coordinator to assist and provide administrative support in coordinating the repair and maintenance for 520 classrooms on four ASU campuses.



Salary Range

$42,017 per year. ASU offers a comprehensive benefits package with the State of Arizona.

Essential Duties

Coordinate and execute administrative and clerical support to the department (e.g. copying, filing, installing informational signage)
Perform computer duties and data entry with accuracy and attention to detail (e.g. create and monitor work orders, track work order response)
Supervise student workers; assign tasks, and review work daily
Receive and respond to departmental emails and requests
Submit and track student's time and attendance records
Maintain department inventory, carts, keys, and equipment
Create and monitor expenditures
Assist with interviewing and hiring student workers
Track and complete departmental training as required and assigned
Inspect classrooms and move furniture as needed
Communicate effectively to perform essential duties



DAYS AND SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday; 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.



Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in field appropriate to area of assignment AND two years administrative/coordinator program experience; OR, Six years of progressively responsible administrative/coordinator program experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.



Desired Qualifications

Work order system experience (e.g. WebTMA, Quickbooks, SchoolDude).
Experience in supervising student workers and their work load
Experience using Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe, AutoCad, and Classroom Scheduling programs
Experience managing time and attendance records
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the student employment process
Evidence of effective communication skills
Experience working in customer service



Working Environment

Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office cubical setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse.
Required to stand/sit for varying lengths of time and travel moderate distances to perform work.
Regular use of standard office equipment including, but not limited to: computer workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse), printer, fax, calculator, copier, telephone and associated computer/technology peripherals.
May be required to travel throughout the Tempe campus or to other ASU campuses as requests or as needs require. May assist with resetting classroom by pushing furniture by hand or using furniture dollies.
Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Drive University vehicle/cart as needed or to assist students.

This position is located at the University Services Building, 1551 S. Rural Road, Tempe, AZ (on Rural Road south of Apache Blvd).



This position requires that you must possess a valid Arizona driver's license (minimum of Class D) upon employment and maintain throughout employment. Post-offer of employment, selected candidate must possess an acceptable driving record which is 5 or fewer points in the most recent 39 month period from date of hire.
