This is a hybrid position. The selected colleague will work at an
MUFG office or client sites up to four days per week and work
remotely the remaining day(s). A member of our Talent Acquisition
team will provide more details. Job Summary
The HR Strategic Analytics, VP will design, develop, maintain and
promote HR Analytics solutions based on answering important
business questions for our clients. This person will be a subject
matter expert in workforce analytics and will identify best in
class workforce metrics, will collaborate with the business and
proactively identify their needs and fulfill them with effective
and scalable solutions.
This individual will identify, analyze, and interpret trends on
very large datasets, helping our stakeholders see this information
through actionable dashboards. The role is responsible for ensuring
the accuracy of the information that is provided. Quickly
identifies business risks, inefficiencies, issues and opportunities
related to our daily processes and solves these issues with an
emphasis on automation of the end product.
Major Responsibilities
As part of the MUFG Reporting and Analytics COE, partners with HR
Business Partners, Total Rewards team, Talent Acquisition team and
other HR stakeholders to understand their business challenges and
formulates data driven solutions using business analytics tools
such as Tableau and Workday dashboards.
Designs and develops insightful HR Analytics dashboards in an
Agile, iterative manner with a strong client focus.
Responsible for maintaining and updating the Quarterly Business
Review Tableau dashboards that include a variety of HR metrics
including attrition, span of control, diversity and other HR
information by business unit.
Provides value-added analysis to interpret the information being
represented in the reports provided.
Proactively identifies and analyzes key workforce indicators and
market trends and uses this information in the context of MUFG data
and makes recommendations that drive business decisions to
positively impact HR and MUFG.
Communicates findings to senior management via formal presentations
and standard management reporting artifacts on a
periodic/monthly/quarterly cadence.
Responsible to ensure the accuracy of the information that is being
provided by carefully and continually scrutinizing the data to
ensure the right information is portrayed in the reports being
delivered.
Creates, maintains, and ensures quality assurance and data accuracy
of key human resources data sets, reports, and metrics.
Works diligently to instill confidence in the business to trust the
information that is being represented in the insights provided.
Utilizes technology and analytical tools to develop and analyze
enterprise-wide people and other cross-functional data as
needed.
Collaborates with subject matter experts across the HR service
areas (Learning and development, staffing, talent management,
diversity, compliance) to promote data governance and stewardship,
and to improve overall strategic and operational performance and
insight.
Works as the key representative to the external benchmarks and key
surveys supporting the HR function with regard to managing the
Reporting and Analytics function.
Designs the HR early warning system to identify trends in the
organization
Cooperates with leaders and analysts from other departments as HR
data feeds into data from the rest of the organization
Responsible for keeping current on industry trends of HR analytics
and predictive analytics.
Responsible for adhering to applicable local and global data
privacy guidelines when handling sensitive data.
Works effectively in a team and takes the time to learn and acquire
institutional knowledge, understands the complexities of working
with sensitive employee data in a large global financial services
organization and then implements well thought out and reliable new
automated data and analytic processes.
Role Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Statistics, or
related discipline coupled with 6+ years applicable Human Resources
data analysis and/or reporting experience.
Expert level Tableau dashboard development experience using HR
data.
Extensive experience with design of SQL Server databases and SSRS
report development. Must be able to architect the solution and
provide direction to the IT team and get the solution
implemented.
Advanced Microsoft Excel experience with analyzing complex data
sets.
Must have a solid understanding of HR processes. Prior experience
in a HR role such as HR business partner or HR generalist
preferred.
Experience using statistical modeling tools such as Alteryx.
Workday Report writer experience highly desirable.
Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems logically and
systematically.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, ability to
establish strong relationships with all levels of an
organization.
Ability to execute well in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving
organization.
Deeply curious about business, highly motivated to have an impact
on our business, and broadly interested in leveraging technology to
solve business problems.
Strong Presentation skills.
Proven customer service, significant experience related to verbal
communication skills, process improvement, problem solving,
teamwork, and quality assurance.
Ability to work as a team player while at the same time be able to
work independently without a lot of guidance.
The typical base pay range for this role is between $115K- $140K
depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and
location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary
performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
