Job Description:

The Enterprise Data Office serves as a first line of defense control function providing standards and guidance across the bank. The Business Implementation Manager has a broad set of responsibilities and will play a central role in our ability to complete our vision. Partnering with Privacy & Security offices, ensuring documentation aligns with appropriate guidelines, including but not limited to regulatory compliance, risk management best-practices, industry standards, and SVB methodology.

This position plays a vital role in program management and project development in the areas of policy creation, data protection program and data risk management. Working independently to achieve results, engages other internal partners, and communicates with executive leadership on impacts. Coordinates multi-functional teams including domain experts from various groups across the organization.

Capable of crafting, implementing, and practicing methodologies in change management, risk management, regulatory management, vendor management, business continuity management, agile framework, and business implementation management. Acts as an advocate for all business team members within the lifecycle of a project and is responsible for close alignment of relevant activities for effective, end-to-end change implementation.

This position must be familiar with key data concepts, practices, and procedures, applying a wide degree of creativity to translate technical and procedural specifications. This role requires critical thinking, interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment, working well under pressure while maintaining meticulous attention to detail and deadlines. The person in this role should be innovative, organized, and self-motivated to drive the creation and adoption of key data policies, initiatives and risk management practices.

Essential Functions:

  • Drive business's multiple initiatives simultaneously in support of data strategy and vision; assume ownership and manage multi-functional operations and other projects, align key team members and drive responsibility and accountability for project work
    • Advise project teams, scrum masters and key collaborators on data governance, data lifecycle management, data protection and data
      • Engage and collaborate with multi-functional team members at multiple levels of the organization to ensure alignment and timely and effective issue resolution; partners with 2nd and 3rd LOD partners at all stages of issue resolution to ensure work is appropriately challenged and complete
        • Work with head of the business to craft and implement processes, routines, and other accountability measures. Prepare executive-level reports on key operational initiatives and programs.
          • Contribute to overall business strategy and product roadmap.
            Knowledge & Skills:
            • Data concepts i.e. Data Governance, Master Data Management, Cloud, Cataloging, Agile
            • Federal Banking Regulations
            • Understands or knows how to build knowledge in global banking and financial services regulations
            • Good communication and social skills
            • Excellent organizational skills and ability to sequence client support into logical, manageable work packages, tasks, and sub-tasks for execution
            • Deep knowledge of project management including business cases and building comprehensive funding requests
            • Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking
            • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
            • Excellent critical thinking skills, ability to exercise good judgment and solve problems quickly and effectively
            • Positive relationship leadership skills across levels and role types
            • Ability to influence and various levels and functions across the organization
              Competencies:
              • Ability to work well with a team

                Experience:
                • 5-7 years or more of project management experience
                • Bachelor's Degree
                • Experience in financial services, regulator or consulting firm supporting the financial services industry
                • Understanding of Agile methodology
                • PMP, Six Sigma, or Lean certification


                  Base Pay:
                  $96,642.00 - $181,204.00

                  Actual starting base pay will be determined on skills, experience, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other perks, as outlined in any formal offer made.
