More than half of the innovation companiesthat completed an IPO in the last two years were SVB clients.The Liquidity Solutions team sits within Product and manages a panoply of on-balance sheet and off-balance sheet client solutions. Liquidity products are designed for clients initiating/deepening a deposit relationship with SVB as well as those deploying newly raised funding from the private and public markets into market-based investment vehicles. Overall, the Liquidity Solutions team has product responsibility for -$200B in deposits and -$400B in off-balance sheet client investments (Money Fund sweep, Repo, Asset Management).Liquidity Business Intelligence is source of truth for various business partners that oversee both the financial aspects of the Liquidity Solutions business as well as engagement & communication across the team. The Liquidity Business Intelligence Manager III will lead business analytics and reporting for the Liquidity Solutions team. The Liquidity Business Intelligence Manager III will leverage and improve existing reporting structures to provide powerful insights to management. The Liquidity Business Intelligence Manager III will utilize junior team members to produce some of the regular reporting. This role will be responsible for maintaining the local database structure and existing reports as the bank evolves to meet the needs of our clients. As the bank continues to grow this role will be responsible to seeking opportunities to augment reporting through the addition of new data sources. The Liquidity Business Intelligence Manager III will be the primary author of new reports based on needs from leaders or opportunities identified by the Liquidity Business Intelligence Manager III. The Liquidity Business Intelligence Manager will be in-tune to markets (stocks, fixed income, and private equity markets) through resources currently available while building out future capabilities. This role will translate what happens in these markets to results seen by the bank and our clients. The Liquidity Business Intelligence Manager III will also be included in training some of the basic hard skills required for the job to junior staff.Essential FunctionsLiquidity Solutions Analytics & Reporting

  • Engage with peers and leaders to understand individual analytics needs and develop roadmap and negotiate expectations for deliverables and timelines
  • Develop Ad-Hoc reporting to resolve inquiries from the leadership team
  • Build regular reports to answer pressing questions from senior leaders and then scale these reports by leveraging junior staff to regularly update the reports
  • Utilize SQL, Tableau and other analytical tools to maintain reporting structure monthly, continuously improve the reporting infrastructure augmenting with new data sources as they become available. Maintain and improve database to deepen insights from analysis
  • Reconcile differences and discrepancies in management reporting
  • Analyze and synthesize reports into digestible stories for leadership teams, providing recommendations where relevant. Present findings at least monthly in business update meeting
  • Provide insights from gathered data to drive direction of business
  • Develop and automate reports, iteratively building and prototyping dashboards to provide insights at scale that address top business and product prioritiesJunior Staff Development
    • Oversee, quality check, and coach the work of junior staff's monthly reporting responsibilities
    • Host learning sessions on data specific skills for junior staff to empower them to better assist in you carrying out routine tasks
    • Provide mentorship and support fielding junior staff questions on reportingExecutive/Senior Leader Reporting
      • Lead structure, planning, and creating the narrative of monthly and quarterly reporting up through executive/senior bank leadership including:
        • Liquidity Account Management Reviews: Report sales team performance to leaders in the org to better understand sales and coverage strategy
        • SVB Asset Management: Lead monthly review of Asset Management accounts to the head of SVB Asset ManagementRequirements:
          • Familiarity with relational databases and advanced analytical tools (Tableau, SQL, etc.)
          • Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
          • Effective and concise communicator at all levels, both verbal and written
          • Interpersonal communication and large audience presentation
          • 3+ years related experience and a related Bachelors or 8+ years related experienceNice to haves:
            • Python and other coding language experience
            • Experience in or advanced knowledge of capital markets
