and Management, Capital Planning Services, seeks an Accountant to
perform a wide range of detailed and complex accounting, tax, and
advisory functions calling for professional knowledge of, and
experience in, accounting principles and practices. This position
will be be located at the Tempe campus. Salary RangeTo be

on-line requisitions. Process invoices. Maintain detailed records.
Reconcile capital project financial accounts. Perform detailed cost
and financial analysis, forecasts, and projections. Prepare various
accounting and journal entries to manage capital project
budgets.Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting
principles and university policies. Answer policy, budget, and
procedure questions from department staff, university staff and
customers. Maintain professional accounting body of knowledge by
attending professional development training as assigned.Bill
internal campus customers for Capital Programs Management service
work provided.Regular activities require ability to quickly change
priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of
conflicts.Clearly communicate to perform essential functions of the
job.DAYS AND SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday; 8:00AM-5:00PM Minimum
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
AND one (1) year of professional accounting experience; OR, Five
(5) years professional accounting experience; OR, Any equivalent
combination of experience and/or education from which comparable
knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. Desired
QualificationsExperience in:Fund/government accountingPreparing
detailed reconciliationsBudget planningPreparing expense tracking
reportsUtilizing an on-line financial system (i.e., Advantage,
Workday, etc.)Extracting financial information from a data
warehouse utilizing BrioQuery, MyReports, or a similar application
Knowledge of:Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Excel, Word,
Outlook, etc.)Customer service skillsEvidence of effective
communication skills Working EnvironmentActivities are performed in
an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended
periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse;
required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate
distances to perform work. Occasional bending, reaching, lifting,
pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds. Regular use of standard office
equipment including, but not limited to: computer
workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse), printer, fax,
calculator, copier, telephone and associated computer/technology

This position is located at the University Services Building, 1551
S. Rural Road, Tempe (on Rural Road south of Apache Blvd). This
position is considered safety/security sensitive and will include a

dependent on the continuation of funding from a specific source
other than state appropriations. As such, this appointment may
