Job Description:

The VP of National Sales Operations for the auto division is a highly visible leadership role. This role is dedicated to sourcing and developing auto and powersport businesses, including large dealer groups. Responsible for outside sales initiatives impacting revenue, net income, loan growth, quality performance, expense control and geographic expansion. This includes all phases of the product life cycle, from inception through introduction into the marketplace. This role encompasses the leadership responsibility growing annual originations per financial plan targets.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Establish best practices and lead successful change through obtaining buy-in from executives and peers on a consistent basis
  • Implement playbooks to ensure sales practices are consistently applied through all territories that lead to the achievement of department goals
  • Develop sales targets for the department, examine growth opportunities, enable sales improvements, product mix development, and drive departments performance per financial plan
  • Create a clear business communication plan with key stakeholders - leading to full transparency of benchmarking initiatives and providing milestones monthly, including having a sense of urgency in problem solving
  • Establish and oversee the adoption of departmental vision and values, which forms part of the work culture. Also play a mentorship role to key positions within the sales department, assisting in the execution of duties upon request, honing their professional skills
  • Collaborate with cross functional departments to create product intelligence, conduct trend analysis, and ensure alignment to support sales and conversion
  • Build strong relationships with the external partners and regularly interact with them by attending sales workshops, seminars, and hosting events, playing an active role in industry organizations
  • Minimum 50% to 75% travel requiredRequirements:
    • High School Diploma/GED
    • 10 years experience in a fast-paced sales environment, including experience in auto sales management
    • Proven history of coaching, developing, and training managers
    • Champion of change management, executing on strategies with a team
    • Ability to build effective relationships with senior leaders to identify trends, share information and resolve critical issuesPreferred Requirements:
      • Bachelors degree
      • Experience in project management focused on high priority items resulting in department process improvements and expense reduction
      • Practice in creating and presenting material that is effectively communicated in large and small group settings
