Job Summary: This role will lead Wires Payments West and report to the Head of Payment Operations within Operations & Technology for the Americas. In addition to overseeing management of the day-to-day Wires West operations function, will also be responsible for compliance requirements, issues management, and incident assessment/root cause analysis/prevention. Will be the point of interaction with First Line, Second Line, Audit, and Regulators. Will also be the point of contact for all strategic initiatives impacting Wire Services. Additionally, will oversee the portfolio of efforts in flight to increase stability, reduce variability, resolve issues and enhance the end to end process. Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage day-to day Wires Operations functions to meet established service level agreements and regulatory standards.
  • Organize and lead teams as appropriate.
  • Work with vendors and consultants as applicable.
  • Establish and monitor staff performance objectives; appraise performance and recommend salary increases; ensure employee training and development; act as mentor, coach and counsel; hire and terminate employees as necessary.
  • Incorporate business trends, business drivers, and operational opportunities for business process reengineering, organizational realignment and cost reductions as appropriate.
  • Ensure that the service model design supports long term needs and strategy of the different lines of business in the organization.
  • Leverage operational efficiencies to improve customer experience and sustain business growth and revenue initiatives.
  • Create value through process simplification and service improvement.
  • Interact with senior executives form all Lines of Business for the formulation and implementation of improved operational service model strategies.
  • Execute both strategic and tactical efforts related to the development of new strategies.
  • Execute responsibilities in the best interest of customers and shareholders. Qualifications:
    • Education:--Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; MBA preferred.
    • Experience:15+ years of experience in Financial Services with a strong background leading Wires Payment Operations.
    • Must be capable of handling multiple complex problems and business line initiatives while overseeing the day to day Wires Operations.
    • Extremely effective at collaboration and leveraging resources.
    • Must have the perspective and analytical acumen to create innovative solutions to tough problems and the motivation and drive to meet continual new challenges.
    • Ability to analyze and partner with groups outside of the direct organizational lines to ensure an excellent end to end process with clear roles and responsibilities is critical.
    • Operational risk mitigation and issue management experience preferred.
    • Demonstrated experience interacting with and leading responses with Regulators preferred.
    • With significant industry change on the horizon (ISO20022); the position will require experience in successful change management and the ability to lead an operations organization through significant change while not disrupting the daily operations.-- The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
