The Operations Production Manager is responsible for the overall end to end loan operations and staff in the Consumer Lending Fulfillment HFS Division. In close collaboration with the Head of Consumer Lending Operations HFS, the position is responsible for overseeing large scale operations staff consisting of Processing, Underwriting and Closing operations. The position leads the strategic planning of staffing level requirements and a team of managers who have responsibility for ensuring overall quality, compliance and productivity of the Processing, Underwriting and Funding of mortgage and consumer loan products including all saleable loan products, conforming and government loans. The Operations Production Manager will have direct oversight of all functions within the HFS production center with a high emphasis on effective partnering and collaboration with sales and affiliated corporate departments. The Operations Production Manager leads strategic planning and development for loan processing, underwriting and funding. Responsible for building a small team of managers/supervisors who directly report to the position. Major Responsibilities: Directs overall production of mortgage loans through the Team Managers and UW Manager to ensure that strategic goals are met. Monitors and evaluates trends and creates efficiencies to improve the process and customer experience. Responsible for managing to the operations organization budget. Oversees and monitors the processes for efficiency and effectiveness. Implements policy and procedural changes that effect functional areas of responsibility to ensure uniformity, consistency and effectiveness. Develop and implement talent strategy ensuring managers and supervisors are selecting, training and actively managing job performance activities including coaching and documenting performance as well as recognizing and rewarding staff. Ensures quality is maintained, and loans are processed to meet investor or portfolio requirements. Adherence to all State and Federal regulatory requirements as well as internal Credit Policy and Compliance procedures. Ensures Bank's Risk Vision and Risk Management policies/programs are understood and adhered to by all staff. Identifies potential risk associated but not limited to identify theft, consumer compliance, fair lending, money laundering and consumer privacy. Oversees and monitors audits at various levels (i.e. Quality Control, Internal Risk Management Group, Data Integrity) to ensure adherence. Development and execution of the process and the people to deliver loan quality, productivity and customer satisfaction. Collaboration with Regional Sales and Customers to ensure Service Levels are met or exceeded. Maintain effective partnership with sales. Ability to identify potential problems and effectively resolve conflict. Qualifications: Minimum 7-10 years Mortgage Operations leadership experience Highly skilled in strategic planning and effective decision making Strong understanding of budget planning and process for operations Knowledge of industry trends, competitive landscape and best practices Strong written and oral communication skills 3-5 years underwriting experience. FHA a plus. Understanding of FMNA, FHLMC and Government lending products and investor guidelines Highly organized and able to prioritize competing tasks Work well under pressure and able to maintain professionalism and courtesy and collaboration Working Knowledge of Residential loan documentation, products, policies, Underwriting guidelines, regulatory requirements and procedures for conforming and Jumbo loans Demonstrated business knowledge for origination processes and workflow enhancement This position may be subject to SAFE Act Registration Requirements.
