Job Description: pThe Optical Manager performs all the duties required of a dispensing optician, in addition to managerial duties. Thisbrposition is responsible for interacting with customers, confirming appointments, reviewing insurance information andbrstore upkeep. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change atbrany time with or without notice./p pbrspan style="text-decoration: underline;"Education and Experience/spanbrMust be licensed to work as an optician within the State.brMust keep license up to date and active. br2+ years of management experience in retail; drive for results and proven track record in reaching goals.brHigh school diploma or GED equivalent.brStrong skills in supervising others, and mentoring them to generate customer satisfaction and sales.brAble to use computer systems for sales, ordering and timekeeping.brPolished customer service skills and a genuine ability to understand your patients' needs.brCapable of resolving customer complaints if they arise, with tact and positive outcomes.brMust be reliable and punctual in attendance to keep store hours and coverage in the store.brAn interest in fashion eye-wear and an eye for style is highly desired.brMust be flexible for scheduling, and able to work weekends and holidays, as well as special sales events.brMust be able to stand/walk/sit for increments of 4 hours or more./p pbrspan style="text-decoration: underline;"Work Environmentbr/spanThis job operates in a professional office environment.This role routinely uses standard office equipment such asbrcomputers, phones, photocopier, filing cabinets and fax machines./p pspan style="text-decoration: underline;"Physical Demands/spanbrThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfullybrperform the essential functions of this job.brWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
