Job Description Job Description Nammo Defense Systems, Inc., a
defense contractor, is the primary USA operation of the Nammo Group
(Nammo AS). Nammo Defense Systems Inc. (NDS) develops,
manufactures, and supports Shoulder Launched Munitions (SLMs),
energetic material solutions such as aircraft emergency escape
systems, actuation devices, rocket motors, warheads, and composite
solutions including carbon fiber tubes and composite aerospace
structures. JOB OVERVIEW: The Environmental Technician reports to
the Environmental Manager. He or she will be required to work with
a partner/and or team on daily activities. The main areas of the
role include waste, hazardous waste, spill response, waste
generation knowledge, inspections, improvement, permitting
compliance, remediation, and record keeping. How you will be

programs, health savings account KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Daily
interplant transport of hazardous, non-hazardous, and energetic
waste site wide indoors and outdoors in all seasons. • Waste
characterization & profiling, labeling, and storage. • Inspects
waste for regulatory compliance and waste profile conformance. •
Apply OSHA, DOT, RCRA, knowledge to provide guidance to teams and
problem solve. • Will assess site and working conditions to ensure
waste, permitting, and Nammo Policy are in compliance. • Spill
response and clean up. • Prepare written reports and procedures for
review and work closely with other health, environmental, safety
and security staff and consultants. • Weekly, monthly, quarterly
environmental compliance inspections. • Will support hazard
analysis activities and implementing environmental improvements. •
Will assist and escort environmental contractors and consultants as
needed. • Equipment cleaning. • Other duties as required. • Operate
Vacuum truck, rack body truck, and box truck safely. SKILLS &
QUALIFICATIONS: Required : • Knowledge of general industrial work
processes, material handling techniques, and proper management of
hazardous materials/waste. Previous chemical, explosives,
manufacturing or energetic experience a plus. • Must possess or
have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver’s license by the
time of hire. • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors
year-round including the summer season. • Must be able to wear all
required PPE including long sleeve shirt/pants/safety toe
shoes/safety glasses at all times during work. Additional PPE as
required. • DOT Hazmat, RCRA, and HAZWOPER certifications (may be
completed after hire). • DoD 4145.26M, and DoD 5100.76M regulations
and other federal, state, county and city regulations at Plus but
not required. • Proficient working knowledge of excel, word, and
PowerPoint a plus. • Previous audit and reporting experience a
plus. WORKING CONDITIONS: • Full-time on-site position. • Must be
able to work in indoor and outdoor environments year-round in full
PPE. • Must have manual dexterity of hands and body to operate
office equipment, motor vehicles, hiking/walking in varied terrain
outdoors, and lift up to 50 pounds. • Must be able to manage
frequent interruptions, high work volumes, multiple tasks,
team-oriented activities and prompt decision-making. • Must
constantly maintain concentration, accuracy, ethical behavior, and
a professional demeanor. Must be able to lift/carry/push and/or
pull 50 lbs. Note: Due to US Export Control laws and regulations;
