more secure world. The Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) Systems
Engineering department within the Effectors Center of the Systems
Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) organization is
currently hiring a Systems Engineer II to join our Tucson, AZ
location and support LADS Effectors product lines. SE&TC is an
exciting and challenging environment where you will have the
opportunity to design, develop and partner with multi-disciplines
to shape innovative solutions for our customers. The Systems
Engineer II is a technical role contributing directly to the
requirements development and decomposition of complex subsystems as
well as developing the verification approach. What You Will Do: -
Develop and maintain requirements, systems architecture and design,
updating and maintaining Interface definitions & description
documents by collaborating with multiple IPTLs and SMEs to obtain
necessary design information. - Gain SE technical expertise in
development, integration, troubleshooting and failure
investigations - Support technical discussions, and formulate plans
of action by leveraging company Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
across multiple engineering disciplines - Become proficient in
creating and managing requirements using requirements management
tools such as DOORS - Develop your skills in Model Based Systems
Engineering (MBSE) using tools such as CAMEO and standards such as
SysML or UML - Support peer reviews and formal release of contract
deliverables for Systems Engineering artifacts. Qualifications You
Must Have: - Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science,
Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2
years of prior relevant experience - Demonstrated experience
(through academic coursework, research, or professional roles)
analyzing concepts of operations, requirements definition,
decomposition, and changes. - Experience with communication,
technical writings and/or oral presentations and leading technical
solutions to complex user needs. - The ability to obtain and
maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as
only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer: - MS or PhD in Engineering, Computer
Science, Math or Physics - Experience with cPDM, Change Control
Boards (CCB), and document release experience (engineering and
formal release) - Experience with requirements management using
DOORS - Ability to work independently and work with SMEs, Chief
Engineers (CE), Lead Systems Engineers (LSE), and other program
stakeholders to make informed technical design decisions. - Ability
to manage multiple and competing priorities - Experience with MBSE,
CAMEO, SysML, or UML - Experience with system and sub-system level
requirements development, design and documentation of system level

68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith
estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers
