Arete is seeking an experienced Configuration Management Engineer to support and lead document control processes across the full product lifecycle-from development through sustainment and end-of-life. We are looking for someone that is highly motivated. We're looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional who is both a self-starter and a strong collaborator. The ideal candidate will excel at building relationships, communicating effectively, and working across functional teams in a matrixed development environment. This role is responsible for maintaining consistent and accurate configuration control in alignment with SAE EIA-649 standards and Arete's ISO 9001 Quality Management System. The successful candidate will be process-driven, with a continuous improvement mindset to review, streamline, and standardize practices in line with industry best standards.This is a full-time, exempt, non-supervisory position based in Tucson, AZ. Nice to Have (preferred skills): - Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, such as MIL-STD, MIL-HDBK, ISO, ASME - Candidate should be familiar with SAE-GEIA-859 and MIL-STD-963. The salary range for this role is $75,000 to $140,000; however, Arete considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to: the position and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills. Engineer 2, Configuration Management: $75,000 to $90,000 for an Engineer 2 [minimum experience of BS 0-5 years, MS0 3 years] Staff Engineer, Configuration Management: $90,000 to $115,000 for a Staff Engineer [minimum experience of BS5 years, MS3 years] Senior Engineer, Configuration Management: $120,000 to $140,000 for a Staff Engineer [minimum experience of BS7 years, MS5 years] Other Considerations Areté is committed to the principles of equal employment opportunity and nondiscrimination, and we believe every person has the right to be treated with fairness, dignity, and equal consideration.
