Role: Project Engineer
Work Location: Tempe, AZ
Responsible for the completion of long-term engineering projects.
technical leadership in the execution, cost control, schedule
execution, milestone management and customer/PM interface to meet
key milestones and program objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
--- Technical requirements management.
--- Subsystem specification development.
--- Customer and supplier technical communications.
--- Design trade studies.
--- Activity cost and schedule estimation.
--- System risk analysis.
--- Hardware integration.
--- Technical problem solving.
--- Root cause analysis.
--- Design validation and testing.
--- Presentation to peers and management.
--- Technical documentation - Test plans, procedures, and
YOU MUST HAVE
--- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems
Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
--- 5+ years of engineering experience.
--- Must be a U.S. citizen due to export and ITAR restrictions.
--- Team building and collaboration
--- Ability to create specific action plans, prioritize time, and
--- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
is a plus
--- Interest in project management - cost, schedule, technical
execution is a plus
--- Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little
supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things
done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by
--- Experience in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic actuation is a
--- Familiarity with DO-160 or equivalent documentation is a
--- Ability to comprehend electrical schematics is a plus
--- Earned Value Management System (EVMS) skills is a plus
