The Flexible Composite Technician I Position
Are you interested in starting a new career in the composite
industry? Robertson is looking for enthusiastic Men and Women for
employment building flexible crashworthy and self-sealing fuel
cells for the Aerospace and Ground vehicle industries. Previous
experience in Composites is a plus however not required. Preferred
candidates will have a basic mechanical skillset, good work ethic,
and a great attitude. Reliable transportation, ability to show up
on time, and willingness to learn are required.

Physical Demands of the Flexible Composite Technician I
While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is
regularly required to walk, stand and climb. The incumbent is
occasionally required to sit, bend, squat, kneel or crawl and lift
or carry a maximum of 75 pounds; as well as push or pull a maximum
of 300 pounds. This position involves occasionally working in a
confined space. The incumbent will regularly use hand tools
including but not limited to scissors, hand sanders, wrenches,
sockets, drills, screwdrivers, spray guns, lay up squeegees,
brushers, rollers, rulers, and calipers. The incumbent will
occasionally use power tools including but not limited to
computers, panel saws, table saws, shapers, sanders, motorized trim
fixtures and occasionally operate forklifts.
Work Environment for the Flexible Composite Technician
While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is
regularly exposed to mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to
dirty working conditions, heat or cold ranging between 35 and 100
degree ambient conditions, chemical vapors or fumes, dust, shavings
and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually
moderate to loud. The incumbent is required to wear PPE (Personal
Protective Equipment) including Nitrile or Chloroprene gloves,
negative or positive pressure respirator, dust mask, safety
glasses, protective clothing, goggles, hearing protection, and work
or anti-vibration gloves.
