Job Description:

Direct Hire Mechanical Engineer located in Tempe AZ for a leading manufacturer and supplier of lightweight, qualified power electronics for military, commercial and aerospace applications.Ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting and creating mechanical designs, drawings and PCB outlines in support of new product development and product improvements.As a Mechanical Engineer you will:Mechanical design and electronics packagingWork with Electrical and PCB Layout Engineers to make critical part placement on PCB assemblies.Create required assembly drawings and wire lists / diagrams for products and sales proposals.Performs design verification and tolerance checking.Run analysis (thermal and stress) to validate design.Contribute content to and present in Design Reviews.Provide assembly drawings compatible with Component Maintenance Manuals.Assist Manufacturing Engineers with transfer of Units from Engineering to Manufacturing.You will need the following to succeed:Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Master s preferredDemonstrated experience (7+ years) with electronics packaging design/simulation in SolidWorks CAD & PDM tool environmentDemonstrated experience designing for aerospace environmental standards such as DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, etc.Volt is an equal opportunity employer
