Job Description Job Description Harte's Contracting Services Construction Estimator Location: Phoenix Metro (East Valley based in Apache Junction, AZ) Build accurate estimates that build real trust. As an Estimator , you'll play a critical role in how confidently our clients move forward and how profitably our projects perform. Our work spans residential remodels and new builds as well as select commercial and multi-family projects. As an Estimator , you'll be the financial foundation of our projects, creating accurate, transparent, and well-structured estimates that set our team up for success. You'll collaborate closely with Sales and Project Managers to ensure every project starts on the right foot, clear, priced properly, and ready to execute. Responsibilities Build accurate estimates for remodels, additions, and new construction projects. Develop detailed proposal packages that inspire client confidence. Analyze scopes and plans, identify risks, and adjust allowances as needed. Collaborate with Sales and PMs to ensure smooth project handoffs and strong budgets. Continuously improve templates and processes to make estimating faster and smarter. Support change orders and pre-construction agreements to keep projects profitable. What Success Looks Like Your estimates are clear, complete, and reliable. Clients feel informed and confident in their decisions. Field teams run smoothly because surprises are eliminated early. You're known as the financial backbone of the operation. Qualifications 3 or more years of experience in construction estimating (residential preferred). Strong understanding of building plans, takeoffs, and material pricing. Detail-driven mindset with the ability to see the bigger financial picture. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proactive problem-solver, you spot issues before they become problems. Comfortable using JobTread or similar estimating/project management platforms.
