Job Description
The School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership (SCETL)
seeks a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join our
fast-paced, high-energy team. The position will work under the
direction of the Marketing and Communications Manager to plan,
coordinate, and communicate about degree programs, public events,
research centers and more to drive the School's mission forward.
The marketing and communications coordinator will work closely with
a team of marketing professionals and student employees to
implement marketing campaigns and communications strategies to
support a variety of units at the School.
Salary Range
$43,428 - $52,900 per year; DOE

Essential Duties
Develops marketing and communication strategies for various
audiences including community members, donors, alumni, current
students and organizations, and prospective students, and
implements the necessary campaigns to address the needs.
Writes and publishes news articles, press releases, newsletters,
and various email campaigns.
Assists events team with organization and implementation of special
events.
Assists with the development and implementation of objectives and
goals for community outreach and community relations for the
School.
Assists with strategic planning and with the development and
implementation of long and short-term goals and develops goals and
objectives based on School goals.
Assists with advertising and media placement.
Coordinates printing of brochures, flyers, swag items and their
distribution.
Lead interviews with faculty and students.
May lead, provide direction, and train volunteers and/or student
employees.
Prepares reports on performance of various communication
campaigns.
Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
AND two years experience in development of comprehensive marketing
plans; OR, Six years experience in the development of comprehensive
marketing plans; OR Any equivalent combination of experience and/or
education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities
have been achieved.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in marketing and communications background in higher
education or a marketing agency.
Experience in working in a fast-paced environment and manage
multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience in managing deadlines and shifting priorities.
Demonstrated knowledge of basic project management and tools.
Experience in coordinating and prioritizing work and activities of
self and others.
Experience in establishing and maintaining effective working
relationships.
Evidence of effective communication and copy editing skills.
Experience with digital media and platforms.
Demonstrated basic knowledge of user design best practices.
Experience with email tools such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Working Environment
Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office
setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and
manipulating a computer mouse; required to stand for varying
lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25
pounds. Regular activities require ability to quickly change
priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of
conflicts.
Flexible work options
Alternative work schedules can include four, 10-hour workdays in a
workweek; a nine-day, 80-hour schedule over two workweeks for
exempt employees only; and staggered start and stop times.
Hybrid work is an arrangement where employees spend a minimum of
60% of their regular workweek at their primary ASU work location.
