About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Risk Analytics
Consultant to join the Finance Risk Management (FRM) - Liquidity
Risk Oversight Reporting and Analytics team. The ideal candidate
has a strong risk mindset, advanced Excel skills, demonstrated SQL
skills, and experience building new reporting. This will be a high
visibility role requiring regular interactions with senior leaders
across Liquidity Risk Management, Corporate Risk, and Internal
Audit. This individual will be responsible for development of
sustainable reporting processes that summarize key liquidity risk
metrics and liquidity position data. In this role, you will:
Contribute to liquidity oversight in multiple areas, to include but
not limited to, the following:
- Develop sustainable processes for reporting that summarizes key
liquidity risk metrics for FRM senior management, the Chief Risk
Officer, management committees, the Risk Committee of the Board, as
well as the regulatory agencies
- Development of risk-based processes, procedures, and standards
to ensure that reporting and analysis is used to identify areas
where review and challenge of Front-Line processes or assumptions
are necessary
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with the
Front-Line, other IRM partners, Wells Fargo Audit, and Regulatory
stakeholders
- Maintain an independent and informed opinion regarding the
current and emerging liquidity risks of the Company as well as
regulatory guidance
- Assist the Liquidity Risk Reporting & Analysis Manager in
building out other processes and procedures to ensure compliance
with the Wells Fargo Risk Management Framework, other Corporate
Policies, and regulatory expectations Required Qualifications, US:
- 5+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent
demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work
experience, training, military experience, education Desired
Qualifications:
- Experience with SQL, SAS, or similar database tools
- Prior experience with liquidity risk, capital markets,
finance/treasury/asset liability management, market risk, or
interest rate risk
- A BS/BA degree or equivalent experience in banking and
finance
- Proven ability to foster constructive relationships with
various levels of management
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication
skills
- Ability to be proactive in terms of identifying and addressing
risk and management issues that are arising
- Ability to coordinate completion of multiple tasks and meet
aggressive time frames
- Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal
supervision in a structured environment
- Working knowledge of liquidity risk management concepts
- Demonstrated success leading and implementing sizable
projects
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills
