This crucial role provides the opportunity to make significant contributions to their strategic direction, bringing your leadership skills and financial acumen to their thriving organization. This is an in office position at their Corporate office in Tempe, Arizona. Salary is up to $150K DOE.Job Role:As Controller, you'll play a pivotal role in managing all aspects of financial operations. Your responsibilities will encompass financial reporting, budgeting, audit coordination, tax planning, and ensuring adherence to financial regulations and standards. You will be integral to their continued success, providing the financial oversight necessary to maintain Company's growth trajectory.Key Tasks and Responsibilities:Oversee all accounting operations including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Financial ReportingCoordinate the preparation of budget and financial forecasts and report variancesPrepare timely monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAPWork closely with the executive team to develop financial strategies and plansEnsure quality control over financial transactions and financial reportingCoordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variancesManage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filingsResearch technical accounting issues for complianceSupport month-end and year-end close processesCollaborate with the management team to make financial decisionsDevelop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controlsSkills & Qualifications:7+ years of proven accounting experience, preferably in a Controller or similar roleProficient in QuickBooks and Excel;experience with Google Workspace is a plusIn-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practicesSolid knowledge of financial analysis and forecastingAn analytical mind with strategic abilitiesStrong organizational, leadership, and decision-making skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesCertified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is strongly preferredEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is required;MBA and/or CPA is a plusProven experience as a Controller or similar high-level executive role
